I love travelling but don't like flying. That's why I always try to find something to do, make my hands and brain busy, during take off. Not always I can crochet/knit ( sharp and metal things are not very welcome on board ) and books are not a very good distraction ( you can read and think at the same time and after a few pages you can't remember what you read, I'm sure you know this feeling ). I needed to think about something else...
For last few months I was looking for a publisher for my illustrations. I was interested in something fresh, something different than a normal colouring book. A book or notebook which I can bring with me when travelling - light, small and with a lot of details to colour. I found Yellow Paper House on Etsy and my new journey has began.
I created 15 illustrations for Traveler's Colouring Book Volume 2. The colouring book is available in 5 different sizes:
Standard (4.33 x 8.25 inches), Cahier (5 x 8.25 inches ), Personal (3.75 x 6.75 inches ), Field Notes (3.5 x 5.5 inches ) and Passport (3.5 x 4.88 inches )
Each size contains a little different illustrations. In the smallest sizes you will find only a part of illustration which is in a bigger sizes. The bigger the size, the bigger the illustrations = more to colour! All of the sizes should fit Midori, Traveler's notebooks and other planners.
The illustrations are printed onto 32lb acid free paper. It is not very thick but most Staedtler Triplus Fineliners, Tombows, Zig Clean Color Brushes, Gelly Rolls and Stabillo markers will not bleed. The paper is also great for colouring pencils - I have tried Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran d'Ache Pablo, Lyra Rembrandt-Polucolor, Derwent Coloursoft, these colour pencils look good and blend nicely.
The cover of the colouring books is black - additional space to create your own illustrations using Gelly Rolls and paint markers.
I hope you will like it! Please share your coloured pages with me. I can't wait to see them!
